Deidre McPherson

Deidre McPherson creates culturally-inspired and inclusive bike adventures as changemaking experiences that bridge divides. As a League Certified Cycling Instructor (LCI) through the League of American Bicyclists, she enjoys working with people to feel more secure about getting on a bike. She’s supported and led community rides for Bike ClevelandCleveland VOTESHeights Bicycle CoalitionSlow Roll Cleveland, and the Saint Luke’s Foundation. She also serves as bike consultant for Bike Your Neighborhood, a summer cycling program with free bike rentals rooted in the Buckeye, Mount Pleasant, and Woodland Hills neighborhoods. Deidre enjoys biking around different cities to food, festivals, and historic/cultural landmarks. And, she serves on the board of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) and the Heights Bicycle Coalition

Outside of biking, Deidre has worked in our region’s arts and culture industry for over 15 years. She is a cultural curator and veteran arts champion dedicated to inclusivity, collaboration, and commitment to advocating for the power of the arts to build vibrant, healthy, opportunity-rich communities. She has held leadership roles and consulted for institutions including The Cleveland OrchestraMuseum of Contemporary Art (moCa) Cleveland, The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA)Karamu House, and the Cleveland International Film Festival. She currently serves as Chief Community Officer for our region’s arts council, Assembly for the Arts.
